With over two decades of experience in post-harvest technologies, we are committed to enhancing the freshness and shelf life of produce, ensuring a sustainable future for the industry.
In 2004 Bas Groeneweg founded PerfoTec. Together with Martijn de Bruin, they developed the first online laser system for micro-perforation on packaging machines. The start of a mission to reduce food waste in the fresh produce industry.
In this year, PerfoTec and the University of Wageningen combined their efforts and invented the Fast Respiration Meter. For the first time ever, businesses could predict the behavior of their produce before packing. Since then, our FRM has evolved into the foundation of MAP packaging knowledge.
